Windows 10 personalization settings not saving

If not, very disappointing to find out  and two, why can I not access my main picture folder for one feature, but not the other when doing the same steps? Is there a way to set up desktop personalization like Win 7 or not. Then when I try to do the same for the Desktop-Personalization-Slideshow option, I am unable to access the same (pictures) folder where the majority of my images are located, despite using the same exact steps to create the Background (ie.

This then is the only image displayed until I change it again manually (I usually choose 1 minute or less for Now, I can only select up to one of five images, whether my own personal image or preinstalled, when I go to Settings- Personalization-Background.

In Wom 7, I could personalize and select as many of my own pictures, as well as others, with no maximum, including how long to display option I am trying to recreate the same desktop personalization feature(s) as in Windows 7, now that I have Windows 10.
